The new gallery ‘The Earth, scene of changes’ has been inaugurated in February 2019.
The areas of the museum dedicated to geology have been reorganised for this project, keeping the essential part of the scientific discourse. The museum route is simplified, more understandable and punctuated by playful digital devices (such as a projection mapping on fossils).
A reproduction of a long dinosaur skeleton has been installed to structure this new area, a reproduction on which the visitors can seat.
The scientific and educational approach becomes participatory: visitors, along with the museum, are encouraged to build up a dinosaur-themed showcase. These objects from everyday life and popular culture, whether they are figurines or stuffed toys, make us wonder why and how these great extinct reptiles fascinate us.
